Note
an extracellular sulfatase which is a candidate developmental regulator of heparan sulfate proteoglycan sulfation in embryonic progenitor lineages. It has an enzymatic domain which functions in the lysosomal degradation of heparan sulfate. It is a heparan sulfate-specific 6-0 endosulfatase with a high degree of substrate specificity for 6-O-sulfated disaccharides of HS chains of HSPG.
