Note
A rare cortico-subcortical suprabulbar or PSEUDOBULBAR PALSY of the lower cranial nerves. It is characterized by severe dysarthria and dysphagia due to paralysis of voluntary movements of the face, tongue, pharynx, and jaw; however, involuntary movements of the affected muscles are preserved.
