An orbital neoplasm that occurs primarily in children under 15 years of age. Most are EMBRYONAL NEOPLASMS that arise from primitive mesenchymal cells which differentiate into striated muscle cells. Alveolar orbital rhabdomyosarcomas are less common and typically occur in adolescents and young adults.
