A disorder that occurs with certain types of tumors, such as connective tissue tumors or OSTEOBLASTOMA, that secrete fibroblast growth factor 23. This causes reduced renal phosphate reabsorption and poor bone mineralization, resulting in bone fractures, bone pain, and muscle weakness.
