Note: A rare systemic form of CASTLEMAN'S DISEASE, in contrast to the unicentric form which is localized to a single lymph node. Patients often present with nonspecific symptoms, such as fever, fatigue, weight loss, and enlarged lymph nodes. It is associated with increased expression of INTERLEUKIN-6 and a tendency to develop LYMPHOMA. OMIM: 148000
