That portion of the electromagnetic spectrum with wavelengths between 620 to 750 nm. Red light is used therapeutically to improve the appearance of SKIN by reducing wrinkles, scars, redness, and ACNE. It is often used in conjunction with PHOTOSENSITIZING AGENTS for PHOTOCHEMOTHERAPY.
